Venmo is looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to join the team to deliver high quality, secure products to millions of users.

As a Principal Software Engineering Manager for its P2P team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers working to create delightful user experiences for Venmo customers.

You should be comfortable with leading and working cross functionally to deliver projects, while also being at the ready to read and write code if needed.

What You’ll Do Venmo is looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to join the team to deliver high quality, secure products to millions of users.

As a Principal Software Engineering Manager for its P2P team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers working to create delightful user experiences for Venmo customers.

You should be comfortable with leading and working cross functionally to deliver projects, while also being at the ready to read and write code if needed.

What we are looking for: 8 years experience in software development or a related field 2 years of experience managing a team of software engineers of 5 of more Experience mentoring and developing software engineers Excellent written and oral communication skills (must be able to give honest, direct, and actionable feedback) Experience in backend technologies (Python, Java, Ruby), and knowledge of cloud-based distributed systems We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
