Shipping and Receiving Supervisor – 2nd shift

We have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor – 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) in our Goodyear, AZ location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Safety of personnel, quality and security of product.
  • Lead, delegate, and motivate employees.
  • Keep the shipping and receiving docks, warehouse areas, staging area (s), and all storage areas in a clear, orderly, and safe manner. Instruct coordinators, loaders, material handlers and equipment operators on the safe handling of materials.
  • Verify all outgoing product and shipments and all incoming materials. Ensure inventory is being rotated.
  • Manage inventory by properly handling, staging and shipping finished goods; coordinating inventory transfers with internal departments.
  • Ensure the delivery supplies to internal departments.
  • Maintain inventory by assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory processes, reconciling variances, and root cause analysis. Supervise periodic physical inventory in conjunction with Accounting.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and formulate recommendations to improve product flow and appropriate equipment. Implement identified safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
  • Select, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed. Monitor employee performance.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and document appropriately.
  • Accomplish staging, shipping and organization mission by completing related reports as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, or related field, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, finished goods inventory control skills, organization, dependability and communication required.
  • Reporting and analysis skills required.
