Electrical Supervisor

Electrical supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating various electrical maintenance activities. This includes the execution of detailed job plans, facilitates compliance with OEM specifications, identifying best practices and comply with safety and environmental policies. The Supervisor executes daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, while using a variety of software to complete daily activities such as SAP and MS Office products. The supervisor attends planning meetings in his/her area of responsibility.


  • Execute shift/daily level scheduling and work execution.
  • Conduct effective and productive morning tailgate and monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensures that all department work performed is done in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all OSHA, MSHA and NEC standards.
  • Manage current weeks break-in work and material requirements.
  • Develop crew skills levels of maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Supervises crew activities during shifts to ensure safe and efficient accomplishment of assignments.
  • Coordinate and communicate with production department supervision on all maintenance activities.
  • Reviews action plans to address repetitive and catastrophic component failures.
  • Trains crew in safety and environmental policies/procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Labor Agreement and safety policies.
  • Manage purchasing of operating consumables and parts.
  • Open, close and approve work requests.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct.


  • Must be proficient with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel MS Project, and MS Outlook.
  • Electrical Maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Applicant must have good communications skills (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of SAP and Kronos software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Sound understanding of MSHA, safety, and environmental regulations as they relate to the area of work.
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC based programs, GE Proficy, Modicon Unity Pro and Concept a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to solicit input from his/her staff.


  • The job requires training or instruction in Environmental Awareness.
  • This job requires training or instruction in Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA/MSHA training.


  • Two (2) years of College, Technical School or Certified Apprenticeship + Two (2) years related work experience.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience
