Position Summary:  

The Corporate Lifestyle Director serves a global role as the company’s resource for community events and lifestyle programming.

The Corporate Lifestyle Director will be primarily focused on AAM’s Large Scale Communities.

The Corporate Lifestyle Director will assist in ensuring that programs, services, and events are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Client and AAM, and that all programs, services and events are conducted in a manner consistent with local, state and federal regulations. 

Position Responsibility:
Participates in prospective client presentations.

Provides the necessary resources and assistance for the Community Lifestyle Teams (Lifestyle Directors and Activities Coordinators) to develop, plan, coordinate and implement effective programs, classes, clubs, services and community events.

Provide teams with recommendations and best practices for soliciting input and involvement from community residents and prospects.

Coordinate with Community Lifestyle Teams to establish chartered clubs.

Assist Community Lifestyle Teams in developing an active community volunteer program specific to lifestyle related activities (as needed).

Provide guidance and assistance to the Community Lifestyle Teams in developing individual event and annual operating budgets for lifestyle related activities.  As requested, review rules and regulations for new and existing AAM communities.

Provide ongoing training for Community Lifestyle Team Members.

As requested, provide guidance to portfolio communities in the planning of community social events.

Assist Community Lifestyle Teams with promotion and publicity for their community events, programs, services and classes.

Assist Community Lifestyle Teams with New Resident Orientations.

Responsible for other duties as assigned from time to time.

Responsible for creating AAM’s corporate standards and requirements for community lifestyle operations.

This will include but not be limited to: Community event risk management procedures Alcohol policies Chartered bus policies Independent contractor agreements Annual budget procedures Pre-event budget procedures Post event follow-up/surveys Minimum insurance requirements for instructors Chartered club guidelines, applications, charters Training material for new Lifestyle Team Members Other related duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Travel may be required.

Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement throughout the day.

Must have reliable transportation.

This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.

Opportunity.OpportunityDetail.WorkExperienceRequiredYears Bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, communication or related field.

Three (3) years of experience coordinating/promoting recreational activities/programs, volunteer programs and/or fund-raising events.

Experience with HOA programing for multi-generational and active adult communities, as well as new-build communities during initial start-up.

Valid driver’s license.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be substituted for the minimum requirements.
