Work Availability2. Must be available to work six days a week (Monday-Saturday) and occasionally on Sunday. Must be able to drive a maximum of twelve hours per day and work up to 14 hours per day as regulated by the Department of Transportation.3. Must comply with the Company’s absence and attendance policy and procedures4. Safety.5. Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe fashion6. Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations7. Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor or contractor on job site8. Report accident or incident immediately9. Complete accident report on same day10. Attend required safety meetings • Wear proper work attire (hard hat, vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.)11. Pre-trip activities12. Perform walk around safety inspection of assigned vehicle (i.e. check oil, water, fuel, lights, tires, etc.)13. Conduct airbrake check test14. Fill out vehicle log book15. Input employee identification number into status head to go in service16. Loading procedure17. Report to call box at assigned time18. Spot truck under plant to receive material19. Verify load size on ticket to determine correct pressure setting on booster axle for proper load distribution20. Quality control21. Visually inspect mix for proper materials22. Verify load size to ticket23. Visually inspect slump with the aide of slump meter and adjust slump according to ticket24. Visually inspect ticket to match the driver and the truck25. Check ticket for special admixtures26. Highway driving27. Drive in compliance with traffic laws and extend courtesy to other vehicles on the road28. Deliver concrete as directed by dispatch through knowledge of expeditious routes29. Deliver product to customer30. Deliver product in a timely manner31. Utilize vehicle status head signaling system32. Job site operations33. Evaluate safest and best way to enter the job site, if needed get curb release signed34. Ask customer where material is needed and, if necessary, make suggestions for alternative safe dumping locations35. Make decision regarding dump location based on safety considerations36. Hang chutes as required using proper lifting methods37. Unload concrete at the job site without damage to equipment, framework, utilities, etc.38. Communicate with customer per job requirements, have customer sign ticket39. Perform walk around inspection of vehicle after unloading40. Complete wash down procedure at job site (according to customer specifications)41. Collect money if job is a C.O.D.42. Work with customer to achieve maximum customer service43. Return44. At plant hit status head button and properly rinse out drum as needed45. Return to designated plant according to ticket or dispatch instructions46. End of shift duties47. Wash out drum, fuel truck, and clean vehicle48. Conduct p.m. walk around inspection49. Write up any vehicle maintenance problems in truck log book50. Report problems or potential problems to ensure vehicle is operable the next day51. If it is a safety related problem contact the shop over the radio to alert them to the problem52. Throughout the day1. Process required paperwork, i.e. time card, truck reports, and trip tickets.
