Wind/Solar BOP Technical Lead

This is a Full-time position in Round Rock, AZ posted May 2, 2021.

RRC is seeking a talented Wind/Solar BOP Technical Lead to help us build the future of U.S.

energy production from our Tualatin, OR or Denver, CO offices in the US, or Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB offices in Canada.

Remote work option is also available.

Provide technical oversight and guidance on large scale renewable energy projects such as wind, solar and battery energy storage systems.

Act as the engineer of record for responsible projects.

Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.

Perform overall project quality control on drawings and studies.

Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements while representing them in the field.

Interface with internal and external team members including Electrical Engineers, Discipline leads, Project Managers, and take ownership of projects to meet and exceed client expectations.

Support/Lead development of standards, technical training for team, optimizations, processes, and provide execution plans with strong follow-through.

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, renewable engineering, or relevant field 8+ years experience in renewable energy, power generation or power delivery Proficiency in Wind / Solar / BESS / MV System designs and studies.

Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license Strong understanding of applicable industry codes and standards including the IEEE, NESC, NEC Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects Excellent time management and organization skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with advanced MS Office skills Ability to organize, schedule, prioritize, and multi-task in a dynamic environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and make recommendations Ability to collaborate within a team environment Self-motivated and w ork with minimal guidance Ability to travel up to 10% Master’s Degree in Engineering with renewable energy focus a plus Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems a plus
