Enterprise-wide information technology is centralized into the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. The City of Phoenix currently has a vacancy for a Web Applications Engineer in the Enterprise Application Services division of the Information Technology Services Department. The Web Applications Engineer is an important position in a team that supports and manages critical resident-facing applications, as well as applications that support the operations of the City. The successful candidate for this position will help manage citywide enterprise applications, supervise staff and contractors who support critical web applications, and assist departments with critical software deployments. KEY JOB DUTIES Lead design, development, and support of new enterprise applications. Manage and upgrade existing portfolio of applications, including security. Maintain a strong practice of DevOps and SecureOps. Follow Agile code development methodology. Provide leadership and supervision of staff and contractors who perform development and support tasks. DEAL CANDIDATE Ability to work with multiple customers to define requirements and developimplement applications. SALARY 71,926 – 109,470 annually. Candidates may be hired above the minimum depending upon qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ndash The minimum qualifications listed above, plus Five years of experience in advanced-level code development (Visual Studio, C) for Microsoft technologies. Three years of experience in Azure DevOps or similar development and security practices. Three years of experience in Agile code development and SCRUM practices. Three years of experience in application development using IaaS, PaaS in Azure (preferred) or AWS or Google. Experience leading and managing staff to develop applications.
