Job Summary:The Sterile Processing Technician I supports the Vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality while performing instrument processing and distribution functions according to standards; cleaning equipment; case pulling; inventory control; biological monitoring and other functions as required.

Is responsible to insure the timely processing and availability of instruments, equipment and supplies with a high level of accuracy regardless of workload volume.

Possesses the knowledge and skills required for the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and instruments, as well as other functions required for the care of neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

Maintains close contact with other departments within the Medical Center to maintain high level of services.Job Qualifications:Required Qualifications:High School graduate or GEDAble to respond to emergency or unpredictable situations in a timely and professional mannerExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer serviceBasic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft WindowsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of and experience with the safe and accurate operation of steam autoclaves, and STERRAD*Must pass pre-employment screeningCompany Video:Company Overview:Yavapai Regional Medical Center is a not-for-profit, integrated health care provider that offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services.
