CAE Engineer, Crash Safetynn nnNikola Motor is looking for a highly motivated Sr.

CAE Engineer, Crash Safety to add to our growing team in the Phoenix, Arizona.

This person will use CAE tools to ensure safety of trucks and provide feedback to design teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the design of first-generation battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell trucks.nn nn nn nnKey Roles and Responsibilitiesnn Building crash safety CAE models for trucks.

Analyze structural performance of CAE results Provide recommendations to improve performance of vehicle structure Provide documentation and negotiate countermeasure implementation Evaluate established and proposed safety standards nn nn nnBasic Qualificationsnn Bachelor”s degree (in mechanical, structural, aerospace, or related engineering discipline) and 7 or more years work experience.

Or, Master”s degree and 4 years of work experience, or Ph.D.

in a similar field and 3 years of work experience is required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in explicit dynamic analysis using RADIOSS, ABAQUS Explicit, or LS-Dyna is required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in crash safety or biomechanics simulation in automotive industry is required.

Thorough understanding of dynamic analysis of metals and plastics and their damage models is required.

Experience with application of crash safety test standards in numerical simulations is required.

Experience in electric vehicles or batteries is highly preferred.

Experience in crash signal analysis and filtering techniques is preferred.

In depth familiarity with CAD tools, especially CATIA, is preferred.

work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada.
