Introduce yourself to us and let’s start a conversation.The Shipping and Receiving Lead will facilitate the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the receiving, material handling, Kanban, inventory control, and shipping areas. The Lead will ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.You will: Assist warehouse supervisor with development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse team. Assist in receiving, shipping, material handling, cycle count activities performed by warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift. Leads are expected to train, motivate, coach Team members to the expectations and goals of the company’s overall vision. Hands on inventory control process and reconciliation with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Must have good decision-making skills and the ability to communicate tasks (at times complex) to associates and ensure the communication is effective. Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company. Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all incoming and outgoing orders. Must be able to use inventory management software and other organizational computer applications with high efficiency and accuracy. Maintain a neat, organized, sufficiently labelled and lean warehouse area. Receive goods and verify that all shipments arrive secure and complete, match goods received to description on documents and report any discrepancies to management. Schedule trucks, ocean containers or equipment maintenance as required. Ensure that KPI’ s is met for the Team daily. Coordinates with the warehouse supervisor to manage personnel issues and requests. Leads Team by example by loading, unloading, trucks and/or performing other duties, as necessary. Performs administrative tasks, as necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations and can become cross trained in other areas. Ensure that each Team member is being safe and following protocol that is required by company/OSHA. At times, you may have to work outside in the elements. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor/management.You’ll need: Four years related experience in automotive, warehouse, or high-speed manufacturing environment. Minimum 4-year experience with a forklift. Must have a State issued driver’s license. Must be able to obtain (pass) the Nikola forklift certification. Must pass the OSHA 10 training. Must be proficient with Microsoft office with an emphasis on Word and Excel. Strong inventory control skills. Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. Demonstrated proficiency in leading and motivating Team members. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Good written and oral communication skills. Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Must comply with all safety requirements. Ability to perform the physical labor necessary. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must have full mobility and be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada.
