RTX: Systems Design Engineer Ii


This is a Full-time position in South Tucson, AZ posted February 22, 2021.

They also perform functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies.

They also support engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle.

They perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

We are currently looking for early career Systems Engineers to provide systems design expertise for programs in various stages of the product life cycle.


Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S.

Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Degree, Skills and Experience:
· BS in Engineering Disciplines, Computer Science, Math or Physics
· Systems engineering experience with exposure in one or more of the following domains: requirements definition, analysis, development and maintenance; system performance analysis; integration and verification; and subsystem or systemarchitecture development.

· Two (2) years of work experience interacting with multidisciplinary teams of engineering professionals
· U.S.

Citizenship is required Desired Degree, Skills and Experience:
· Active Department of Defense Security Clearance
· MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
· Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations after synthesizing or generating technical materials from multidisciplinary sources
· Matlab and/or C++ experience
· Modeling and Simulation experience
· Experience with model-based systems engineering & SysML
· Ability to visualize system functionality, to create block diagrams, and to analyze system performance
· Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
· Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
· Familiarity with DoD customer products & services
· Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
· Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
· Strong leadership skills This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
