Job Description

We are a high tech metal manufacturing/machining facility looking to fill the following position;

QC INSPECTOR
– 2nd shiftPOSITION DESCRIPTION:This position requires that the QC Inspector be detail oriented and self-motivated.

The QC Inspector is responsible for the timely processing of parts and material through the system, and is responsible for the application and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work Instructions.

QC Inspectors act as the departments representative when working with suppliers, fabrication personnel, sales department personnel, and customers.

All unresolved quality issues are referred to the QC Lead Inspector for resolution and oversight when required.

Inspection personnel report to, and receive work assignments from the QC Lead Inspector and Quality Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to teach others any special skills or knowledge required for the performance of inspection duties.

Perform FAIR, In-Process, Final and Source inspections IAW applicable requirements.

Knowledge of PPAPs, and how to create acceptable submissions for the customer.

Cultivate and maintain good working relations with internal and external customers.

Review outgoing shipping packages and coordinated efforts to eliminate processing, documentation and out-going errors.

Familiar with the requirements of MIL, AMS, NAS, etc.

specifications and the inventory management system (AS400).

Computer skills for moving, tracking, and locating parts and material within an AS400 system, additionally the ability to research and retrieve supplier/customer resources and requirements as needed from an internet-based system.

Knowledge of the various QMS requirements; i.e.

ISO, AS, TS, etc., and the ability to apply these requirements to the individuals duties.QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient in the use of common inspection tools and equipment.

Ability to operate tools and equipment particular to this industry.

Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in the performance of the individuals duties.

Knowledge of blue print reading, interpretation, and application.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Advanced PDF.
