Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.Position Summary / ResponsibilitiesResponsible to ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests. Responsible for testing all customer samples. Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.Leveling Factors:Knowledge, Skills and AbilityApplies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.Able to supervise others in the complete integration of mechanical systemsMust have enough specific knowledge of a subsystem to be considered a departmental resource in at least one areaExpert on more than one subsystem, has basic understanding of all subsystemsHas a unique technical skill within the Mechanical Integration DepartmentDetailed knowledge of all Mechanical processesAble to plan and execute Mechanical testingServes as a mentor within the mechanical integration department including lower level Test ConductorsSupports Functional with initiativesTravel when required (Lead at least 1 launch campaign)Supported fueling operationsProblem SolvingDevelop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.Lead a multi-discipline tiger team to troubleshoot system level issues.Discretion/LatitudeWork is performed without appreciable direction. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 9 Years with Bachelors Degree; 7 Years with Masters. 4Years with PhD. 12 Years relevant Space/Integration and Test experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.Must have current working knowledge of on-going space system programs.Familiar with required environmental testing (TVAC, Vibe, EMI, and Mass Properties)Preferred Qualifications:Knowledgeable in outfitting new integration hi-bays with general tools and equipmentSpecific knowledge in special tools and equipment required for assembly of the ESPA/NASA-satellitesFamiliar with MGSE and proof loading requirements for ESPA-L product lineKnowledgeable in heritage Orbital/ATK (Now NGSS) I& T processes and specificationsKnowledgeable in the sequence of the build cycle of the ESPA/NASA product lineIntegration and test of ESPA/NASASalary Range: 98500 130000Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
