LMDS has an opening for a Program Engineer Manager 2 supporting the Strike Weapons program to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in Chandler, Arizona.

Job Description:The program engineering manager (PEM) leads all engineering efforts in support of the task order under the Strike Weapons contract.The PEM executes project management, including integrated master schedule (IMS) and earned value management system (EVMS).The PEM provides technical leadership of the multidisciplinary engineering team to successfully complete the required design and mission reviews to ensure compliance with both internal and customer requirements, ensures timely completion of customer deliverables, and leads resolution of significant technical issues.The PEM supports the targets program office in managing resources and leading engineering execution to ensure financial objectives are met.The PEM leads development of development of launch planning and associated logistics, and provides technical leadership and management of the launch campaign.The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge regarding target launch vehicle technologies and operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex problems are essential.

The ideal candidate will also have the leadership characteristics to drive issue resolution, a strong program execution focus, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with an affinity for building team culture.Basic Qualifications:Active DoD Secret Security ClearanceBachelor’s degree in Engineering and 9 years directly related experienceStrong technical background in launch vehicle design, build and testWilling to travel for up to six weeks during field campaign and monthly business travel (approx.

2 nights per month.)
