Journey Through Books Coach

In this role you will:

  • Orient early childhood professionals to Journey Through Books program policies
  • Assists in the implementation of the Journey Through Books program through bi-weekly coaching visits
  • Plans and implements training based on best practice principals in adult learning, the identified goals and objectives of program staff
  • Utilizes training techniques that are interactive and offers participants an opportunity to reflect and connect with one another.
  • Provides community resources to ECE staff including AZEIP and School District referrals, when needed.
  • Provides services that are family-centered and relationship-based
  • Submits accurate and complete reports as per program guidelines and according to program timelines.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and role differences among persons and families served.

What it takes:

  • Bilingual (Eng/Spa)
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Child Development or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years early childhood education experience
  • Knowledge and experience in adult learning strategies and coaching
  • Experience providing direct support to early childhood professionals
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card – OR – must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Education

Required

  • Bachelors or better in Early Childhood Education or related field

Preferred

  • Masters or better in Early Childhood Education or related field
