BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Front Desk for an opportunity in Surprise, AZ 85378 Title: Front Desk Location: Surprise, AZ 85378 Expected Duration: 12 Months Job Description:

SUMMARY

Incumbent provides customer service to the public by greeting visitors, answering

questions, making referrals for the resource center programs and services, and providing

support for the Community Action Program.

Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations,

and departmental policies and procedures are required at this level.

Responsibilities include

performing more complex data entry, compiling reports, creating basic correspondence,

ordering office supplies and equipment, conducting research, and performing basic

quantitative quality assurance reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Community Action Program by helping with the intake of information

from applicants requesting services and assisting in the process of completing

applications in an accurate and timely manner

* Greets and assists visitors, schedules appointments, makes referrals by phone and

with walk in customers

* Enters, retrieves, and updates customer data and account information in

computerized system

* Answers telephone and forwards to appropriate individual or responds to requests for

information; answers routine questions; directs visitors to appropriate locations

* Provides guidance to seasonal, part-time, and volunteer staff regarding scheduling,

assistance, and training as requested for front desk

* Prepares and processes routine forms, monthly reports, orders and/or other related

items

* Processes, receives, sorts, and distributes a variety of correspondence, deliveries and

mail

* Assists internal staff with various projects

* Provides support for all resource center and community special events

* Works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

* Performs the essential functions as described in the physical demands and work

environment sections below

* Maintains regular attendance and punctuality

* Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED, and two years of customer service experience; or an

equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the

essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Additional education cannot be

substituted for experience.
