Job ID: JR0146699 Job Category: Engineering Primary Location: Chandler, AZ US Other Locations: Job Type: Experienced Hire Electrical Validation Engineer Job DescriptionThe Platform Validation Engineering group within Intel’s Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is seeking an experienced Electrical Validation Engineer to join our team. You will be part of an exciting team of validation architects and senior debug engineers who are responsible for ensuring new FPGA products meet or exceed all Intel quality standards to ensure our customer’s success with our products. Of particular focus will be Xeon-Attach projects. In this role, you will contribute to test plans and strategies for upcoming products including tools and DFX requirements to ensure products meet industry specifications with the required electrical margins. This position requires close work with Circuit Design, Manufacturing, Simulation and Validation teams. Most importantly, you will lead the debug of critical analog issues to determine root cause. As an Electrical Validation Engineer, you will: Debug and validation on high speed I/O technologies, such as PCI-Express Prepare for new technologies such as PCIE Gen 6 Develop and document electrical validation requirements, strategies for verification of I/O designs Review validation and manufacturing test data to make product release recommendations Perform integrated circuit debug and validation to guarantee I/O margin to spec Lead debug efforts directly and through other engineers Analyze I/O specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of design requirements Mentor and train othersQualificationsYou must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. 10+ years of relevant experience working on validation of analog circuits and I/O designs. Experience with early silicon power-on and circuit debug are required, along with experience using electronic analysis equipment in a lab environment including high-speed oscilloscopes. Experience working on serial bus protocols, such as PCI-Express.
