The University of Arizona College of Science and College of Medicine invites applications from structural biologists for a tenure-track faculty position in the Chemistry and Biochemistry (CBC) Department starting in Fall 2021.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment within CBC and will have multiple opportunities to collaborate with the Arizona Cancer Center, the Arizona Center for Drug Discovery and numerous other Centers of Excellence.

The successful candidate will be working on important structural biology questions and have an excellent track record of creative research accomplishments.

Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

The University has made substantial new investments in instrumentation in NMR spectroscopy (Bruker 800 & 600 MHz Avance NEO with TCI cryoprobes) and X-ray crystallography (Bruker Venture system with a MetalJet D2 X-ray source and Photon III detector).

Candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor will be expected to develop a vigorous, competitive and externally funded research program.

Candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor will be expected to have a highly visible and externally funded research programs.
