The American Express Global Compliance Program is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support Compliance Risk Management Program Governance, with specific focus on the Annual Compliance Plan program.

This is an enterprise role responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and review of reporting and analytics for annual compliance planning.

The successful candidate will support the Annual Compliance Plan Governance Team in the development and communication of goals, the development of Annual Compliance Plans, the syndication and review of Annual Compliance Plans with various committees and senior leadership, and the tracking and reporting of progress against established goals.

In this role, the Compliance Analyst will partner close with stakeholders across the company, including Compliance Officers, Compliance Subject Matter Expert teams, and other members of the Compliance Program Team.

Lastly, the Compliance Analyst will continually support the review and enhancement of the processes, policies, procedures, and technology capabilities managed by the Annual Compliance Plan Governance Team.

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years in the banking industry with a primary focus on compliance or other risk discipline, or related experience within the financial industry or related fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with a broad spectrum of constituents
  • Self-motivated and a team player, yet comfortable and capable of being independent and resourceful
  • Must be able to successfully engage in, and execute against, multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Keen analytical and data management skills with experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding judgment and flexibility, identifying and reacting to critical issues in a timely manner
  • BA or BS Degree (Business/Economics or other quantitative fields preferred)
