We are actively hiring for a an Actuarial Analyst to join our team and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals!

We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals, who think big and move fast with a passion for service excellence.

Essential responsibilities

Leads complex analysis and acts as strategic business partner throughout organization to influence outcomes that impact company performance.

Proposes changes to internal actuarial methodologies based on current industry best practices and business objectives.

Conducts actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop recommendations for rate updates and competitive analysis.

Modernizes work through use of Python, SAS and/or R for data analysis.

Prepares rate filings for department of insurance and works with IT to ensure accurate rate implementation.

Documents assumptions, methods, sources and considerations in an organized fashion.

Prepares actuarial findings and documents that are suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.

Adheres to assigned work schedule to ensure timely completion of individual tasks and group projects.

Notifies leadership anticipating of any possible missed deadlines.

Participates in peer reviews to increase collaboration, ensure quality work and drive innovation.

Depending on experience, provides mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues.

Makes continued progress towards the completion of an actuarial designation through the Casualty Actuarial Society.

What would make us excited about you?

BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area

Years of Experience (may consider less for the right candidate)

Proficient in Python, SAS and/or R

Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Possesses pattern-recognition skill and logic-based thinking

Knowledge of insurance industry (preferred)

Completion of at least five actuarial exams

In compliance of Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado.

If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $72,000 to $85,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
