Job Summary

The General Services Tech II (intermediate level) performs the following duties on a mobile basis: sheetrock repairs, texture, FRP repairs, painting, tile repairs, concrete patching/replace, caulking, sealing, carpentry, hardware repairs, & general welding. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the above mentioned items to our service customers in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and safety policies. Maintains truck inventory of basic materials, hand and power tools. Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.

Essential Duties

  • Performs the following duties on a mobile basis: sheetrock repairs, texture, FRP repairs, painting, tile repairs, concrete patching/replace, caulking, sealing, carpentry, hardware repairs, & general welding.
  • Responds to Service Work Orders from dispatch.
  • Maintains schedule with dispatch and customers.
  • Assists other technicians in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
  • Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment.
  • Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Works on and completes all service team-based goals.
  • Observes and complies with all company safety policies.
  • Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests.
  • Works on and completes all service team-based goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical degree in related field is preferred
  • Methods and principles of general building maintenance and repairs
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under stress, and meet short deadlines
  • Must have a professional demeanor, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Must have basic skills operating smart phone devices and applications
