This is a Contract position in Phoenix, AZ posted August 3, 2022.

The Revenue & Audit Accountant Clerk is responsible for assisting with posting daily entries into the General Ledger and verifying accuracy. In addition, they are responsible for upholding internal audit procedures and ensuring accuracy in the organization’s reporting.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a strong relationship with other accounting team members and internal partners throughout the resort
  • Manage the credit card chargeback process; in addition to reconciling credit card payments in-transit
  • Assist with reconciling deferred revenue accounts and ensure accuracy of all revenue postings
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Bachelors of Science or Associate degree in Accountancy or other related fields (preferred)
  • Experience in an accounting environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

  • Requires ability to work on a computer for extended periods (+8 hours per day)
  • Ability to lift boxes for filing purposes (up to 50 lbs.)
  • +90% of time spent sitting

Background Check:

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check.
