We are actively hiring for a Senior Guidewire Application Developer.

Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of application improvements for the Claims Administration System (Guidewire Claim Center-based application).

Demonstrate in-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience with Guidewire Claim Center 10 including configurations and integrations

Well versed with Guidewire recommended guidelines and the standard methodologies

Capable of developing comprehensive integration solutions.

Provides technical consulting to management, business analysts, and technical associates while working in coordination with the architecture team

Designs and develops test plans for unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing

Supports production deployments and automation, actively lead monitoring, job control, and production support, and participates in and provides support for production issues related to the Guidewire solution

Possesses skills and knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodologies and processes such as object-oriented programming, distributed, and cross-platform program communication

Knowledgeable about emerging and evolving technologies and approaches

Understands business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions

Expected to be a reliable technical professional that can handle job responsibilities autonomously

What would make us excited about you?

Bachelor’s degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

– 5 years of systems development and Claims Line of Business experience designing application solutions for multiple types of systems, client users, and/or units across an organization

7+ years of technical experience in enterprise-level application design, execution, and software deployments

Hands-on development expertise on Guidewire Claim Center 10 with configuration and integration

Skilled in the use of applicable programming languages for the areas he or she is developing code for, to include but are not limited to Java, SQL, and Guidewire ClaimCenter

Skilled in application design and demonstrated ability to understand new technical concepts and apply them

Knowledge of application development and support

Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities

Excellent written and oral communication skills to include documentation

Ability to collaborate with peers and project teams on sophisticated projects and issues progress and provide status reports to management

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada.

If performed in Nevada, this position has a salary range of $94,265-$110,900.

In compliance of Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado.

If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $89,760-$105,600.

The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.

Required:

These may include but are not limited to Java, J2EE, .NET, C#, Visual Basic .NET, and Cobol.

Understands the strengths and weaknesses associated with each

Possesses skills and knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodologies and processes such as object-oriented programming, distributed, cross-platform program communication using message brokers with Common Object Request

Knowledgeable about emerging and evolving technologies and approaches such as web services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

System Knowledge
– Understands business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions

Ability to integrate legacy systems with new technology

Preferred:

Understanding of industry practices and CSAA IG policies and procedures relating to work assignments

Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years Coding, testing and applications development experience.

5+ years High-tech

5+ years Application design and programming experience preferably in related application areas.

Preferred:

5+ years Specific Systems Development Lifecycle experience within the area of development delivery.
