The Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction.

Home Lending Solution Engineering group have an excellent for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to support the Home Lending transformation. This role helps transform the traditional large scale monolithic architecture to Micro Frontend architecture with the help of modern frontend technologies,  leveraging GraphQL for federated api model, simplifying and modernizing the user interfaces and user experience. This role is responsible for developing UI Frameworks that multiple teams can use to speed up development and standardize UI/UX and many more.  

This role will be involved in architecting and designing frontend applications and responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to your peers and junior engineers. You will be closely working with UI/UX designers in simplifying our User Interface design and provide best in class experience to our customers. This role also requires hands-on development skills and you will have ample of opportunities to try out new Frontend technologies, creating proof of concepts, reusable frontend frameworks, component libraries, tools and design trends. Also taking these proof of concepts from designs to production quality software products by following agile methodologies. You will be providing frontend technical expertise to our senior leaders in product design.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of UI (User Interface) experience
  • 5+ years of experience with UI (User Interface) Development in one or a combination of the following: Angular, React JS, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), MVVM (Model-View-View Model)
  • 2+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
  • Experience with HTML5
  • 2 + years of experience with front end frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, npm, Yarn
  • Knowledge and understanding of accessibility methods and standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), or section 508 compliance guidelines

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Expert level experience with writing secure and clean code
  • Expert level experience with any of the popular Frontend frameworks – Angular, React, Vue etc.
  • Experience with Angular and Angular Material
  • Expert level experience with HTML5, CSS3 and CSS Preprocessors Ex: SASS, LESS, etc.
  • Expert level experience with any popular CSS frameworks like Bootstrap
  • Expert level experience with JavaScript/Typescript/ES6+
  • Expert level experience in writing asynchronous and reactive programming Ex: RxJS
  • Expert level experience with build and bundler tools – NPM, Webpack, Babel, Grunt, Gulp
  • Expert level experience with frontend performance optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js programming and architecture
  • Strong Proficiency in Frontend Design Patterns and various JavaScript modules
  • Strong working experience with consuming REST API using asynchronous methods
  • Strong working experience with version control (Git/SVN/Bitbucket) and branching strategies
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests for JavaScript code with any of popular JavaScript testing frameworks – Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, Cypress etc.
  • Experience with any of the databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of application configuration and deployment to any of the cloud (AWS, Pivotal, Azure etc.)
  • GraphQL clients
  • Node.js API design, development, testing and delivery
  • Mobile development framework ex: React Native, IOS and Android Native development

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
