*This position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus!Child Crisis Arizona believes that EVERY SINGLE CHILD MATTERS.  Our mission is to provide children and youth a safe environment free from abuse and neglect by creating strong and successful families . If you truly want to make a difference, look into one of our rewarding careers!As a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for providing health assessments to the youth in our care.The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday 10am-6pm.Essential Functions:Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical record for pertinent informationParticipates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications under the supervision of a Physician and Registered NurseEstablishes and documents treatment regimen under supervision of RN or MD and implements treatmentPerforms routine immunizations, nebulizer treatments, and visual acuity testing, and administers and reads TB testsAssists in phlebotomy: identifies patient, checks requisition form for requested tests, and prepares equipment, patient and puncture siteAssists in IV set-up: verifying solution to be administered, evaluating infusion site, checking IV function and patient comfort, and discontinuing IV at appropriate time, as ordered by MDMaintains adequate inventory of examination room supplies and prepares exam rooms at the beginning and end of day and between each patient contact.Performs variety of office responsibilities, including answering phones and taking messagesPerforms triage within scope of Licensed Practical Nursing Practice in an accurate andtimely mannerFacilitates and assists in the coordination of patient referralsParticipates in the orientation and training of new personnelModels Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awarenessExperience/ Education:LPN License required or Certified Medical Assistant required (CMA credentials).First Aid and CPR certification required1 year of related experience. Pediatric experience preferred1 year of phlebotomy experienceBilingual (Spanish/English) capabilities required*Actual pay rates are dependent on education and experience
