Each of us has a stake in the successful outcomes of every patient we treat.Job Description:JOB SUMMARYA Certified Medical Assistant who can deliver individualized comprehensive care to patients through the Clinics as well as performing various administrative tasks to support the Director and Nursing Supervisor in the functioning and growth of the department. Assesses Medical Assistant stakeholders to ensure competency and maintenance of proper standards of care. Responsible and accountable for developing schedules, providing, delegating and guiding safe patient care. Ensures that all patient care equipment is appropriately serviced, maintained, calibrated and functioning efficiently to provide timely and high quality patient care. Responsible for daily charge review, clinic reports, ordering and inventory management.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates the day-to-day medical assistant operations of the Clinics. Develops work schedules and ensures proper distribution and delegation of work assignments to align with budget parameters. Ensures that proper safety standards are adhered to.Maintains clinic competencies to evaluate and instruct in applicable modalities. Demonstrates competence in SCM, RMS, Journey Book and all applicable clinic applications and technologies. Ensures that all patient care equipment is appropriately services, maintained, calibrated and functioning efficiently to ensure a safe, quality care environment.Performs daily charge review, inventory management and supply ordering. Completes reports as requested by Director or Nursing Supervisor. May represent department at meetings or on committees as assigned by Director and/or Nursing Supervisor.Informs Director of any staff performance issues and coaching opportunities. Provides input to Director for stakeholder performance evaluations and/or any stakeholder discipline issues. Will assist with hiring medical assistants and onboarding process.Collaborates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and efficient delivery of patient care and continuity of care. Promotes an environment of continuous quality improvement. Assists Director with development or refinement of policies, procedures, workflows. Maintains positive communication with patients & caregivers. Assists with preparation for onsite accreditation inspections.JOB QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREDExperience: One year within the last three years in a comparable job classification.Education: High school diploma or equivalent -AND- one of the following:Completion of an approved Medical Assistant (MA) Training Program (in accordance with Arizona State R4-16-101 accrediting regulations);ORCompletion of an unapproved medical assistant training program and passage of the medical assistant examination administered by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT);ORCompletion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.Certification: If a graduate of an unapproved program, Medical Assistant Certification from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT)If graduate of an approved program, evidence MA training program was approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) when certificate was awarded.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)PREFERREDExperience: Oncology experienceMinimum of three years medical assistant or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting.We win togetherEach CTCA employee is a Stakeholder, driven to make a true difference and help win the fight against cancer.
