If you truly want to make a difference ,  look into one of our rewarding careers!*The schedule for this position consists of four, 10- hour shifts between the hours of 12:00pm until 11:00pm, Sunday through Saturday.   Flexible schedules will be considered based on the needs of the program.As a Behavioral Health Technician , you will be responsible for the safety, physical and emotional well-being, and supervision of residents in the agency’s care.Essential Functions:Provide awareness, safety, security, and supervision for our clients at all timesEstablishes and maintains positive relationships with clients, agency staff, and outside agency contactsInteracts with clients, reinforcing concepts presented in life skills and other groupsPrepares daily progress notes and other required documentationAdministers and documents medications as prescribed on medication logs after Health Office Orientation training and under the direct supervision of a SupervisorFollows all behavior management protocols and proceduresReports emergencies, client concerns, and building needs to the appropriate partiesAssists in preparation, documentation, and serving of meals and snacksAttends daily staffing meetings, planning sessions, and trainings as requiredResponsible for daily routines and housekeeping duties as assignedParticipates in classes and groups with clientsAttends offsite activities that may include sporting events, fairs, the zoo, concerts, movies, and showsModels Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awarenessEducation/ Experience:Must be at least 21 years of ageEducation must consist of a high school diploma or equivalentMust have at least one year of experience supervising, nurturing, and meeting basic needs for youth or one year post High School Diploma/GED education leading to a degree in Social Work, Child Development or related fieldMust have- a valid Arizona Driver’s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely, and have a clean five- year motor vehicle historyMust possess or be able to obtain level one fingerprint clearance cardMust have computer knowledge and proficiency to ensure complete and accurate documentation*Actual pay rates are dependent on education and experience.
