Assistant Professor, Clinician-Educator, Physical Therapy, Phoenix

Faculty – Clinician-Educator Track Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Phoenix, Arizona Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, invites applications for a full-time (12 month) faculty positions in our developing innovative Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Phoenix, Arizona. These positions will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, and will have Clinician Educator-Track appointments in the Department of Physical Therapy. Creighton seeks quality educators who are passionate about advancing the profession of physical therapy through innovation, creativity, and a desire to contribute to the scientific evidence in rehabilitation science. Faculty are responsible for teaching in the DPT curriculum, fulfilling a scholarly agenda, and participating in professional and community-based service. The program will be part of a new comprehensive health science campus to include academic disciplines in medicine, physician assistant, nursing, pharmacy and occupational therapy. All PT faculty in Phoenix will have collegial access to comprehensive expertise in physical therapy education from a DPT program that supports 20 core faculty members in a top ranked professional doctoral program located in Omaha, Nebraska. The Nebraska-based DPT program supports five accredited clinical residencies, a clinical practice, and diverse research agendas in multiple areas of scholarship, including highly competitive grant-based initiatives. Ideal candidates will possess a specialty certification and a record of teach expertise. An academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent), or active enrollment in a doctoral program of study, and a record of s cholarly productivity are preferred. Department and University teaching and service expectations are dependent upon applicant experience and background. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
