SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Design mixed-signal embedded system circuits, their schematics and oversee PCB layouts. Create product test plans and review test data to validate designs. Provide elegant circuits solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. Contribute to schematic and layout design reviews. Conduct competitive product teardowns and analysis to provide strategic insights. Bring-ups boards, troubleshoot, problem solving. Participate and contribute to strategic engineering and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform RF circuit and communications protocol. Be the subject matter expert for company’s key technologies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupation developing circuits for consumer products.*In lieu of the required Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupation developing circuits for consumer products, Employer will accept Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation developing circuits for consumer products.REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time.” Experience with: -Schematic design, entry and PCB design using OrCAD, CADSTAR, PCAD, PADS, Allegro, Altium and CAM350 for Gerber review.-Link budget analysis, Electromagnetic (EM) Simulations and Antenna Designs using (Advanced Design System) ADS, 3D EM Simulation using CST Microwave Studio and Ansys HFSS. EM simulation and analysis for Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC).-Wireless technologies and protocols including 2.4GHz ISM band and UHF Bands (866MHz/915MHz), Bluetooth (Classic+EDR+BLE) and ZigBee, Wi-Fi, RFID Applications including 13.56MHz Reader and UHF band RFID tag design.-Design calculation and power estimates, Bill of Material generation, Component selection, RoHS and REACH compliance activities.-Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Signal Analyzer, Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA), Vector Signal Generator (VSG). Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU-200, Bluetooth tester – CMW270, LitePoint IQxel, Multimeter, DSO. Antenna radiation pattern Measurement.-Develop hardware, EMI/EMC pre-compliance test plans and conducting functional testing of hardware.-Ensuring that design meets all applicable regulatory requirements and standards for the product including FCC, ETSI and IEC Precompliance and Certification.-MATLAB, Python scripting and Embedded C.-Co-ordinate with cross functional teams at different locations during product development life cycle from requirements to production working with Mechanical, Software and Application teams.-Support Product and Test team for manufacturing and production test setup bring up and testing.**Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours / week (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)LOCATION: Universal Electronics, Inc. 15147 N.
