Technical and Integration Support Specialist

ZIMBIS provides a cloud-hosted, automated inventory management system integrated into Smart Inventory Cabinets dispensing cabinets designed for the dental market. ZIMBIS improves clinical efficiency, inventory accuracy and streamlines order management, improving profitability for dental providers.  Smart Inventory Cabinets and smart solutions from ZIMBIS provide an entirely new level of insight and innovation for dental labs, general dentists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists.

Position Title:    Technical and Integration Support Specialist

Department:      ZIMBIS Professional Services

Reports to:         Dental Operations Manager

Persons reporting to this position (Classification): N/A

Overall responsibility:

The Technical and Integration Support Specialist is responsible for the activation of ZIMBIS Dental market Patient, Profile, Billing and Vendor software integrations with our ZIMBIS cloud database platform. In addition to Integration Activation and Support the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day technical support of clients workflows, hardware, and software inquiries. Prior to our onsite installation of software/hardware solution (Pre-Implementation Phase) the Specialist works with our ZIMBIS clients and IT interface teams strategically configuring their software systems and ours through the integrations process.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable leading multiple teleconference/webinar meetings discussing the functionality of the integration, knowledge of IT infrastructure and technology, and basic troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with managing multiple projects at one time, databases, APIs, web services and HL7 Translators.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Setup and activation of Patient, Patient Profile, Prescription, and Billing integrations
  • Integration Activation Responsible for owning the integration activation process from start (customer kick off call) to finish (integration activation)
  • Participate in Customer calls, project management, and on-boarding of integrations in our respective Dental markets
  • Day to day customer software and hardware technical support; root cause assessment, execution of resolution, case management, client satisfaction management.
  • Working with Product Development Team product documentation, workflow validation, Beta release testing, Virtual Machine Management, integration vendor partner relationships.
  • Stand-up weekly meeting to review projects and workload

Skills and Attributes:

  • Understand HL7 standards, have working knowledge of and experience with interface engines
  • Ability to test, debug, modify, tune and document HL7 messages as needed
  • Working knowledge of webservices/APIs
  • Determine the HL7 interface customizations required for each project
  • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Skill at tracking tasks, defining next steps, and identifying owners
  • Project Management experience desired
  • Experience with IT infrastructure and technology
  • Comfortable on the phone demonstrating functionality and configuration of integrations
  • SQL and database query experience

Education/Licenses/Certifications desired:  

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and/or 1-3 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years working with Integrations with PMS software and or Webservice platforms.   
  • Candidate must possess Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to document and explain schema elements, overall architecture, and system-approach to both management and engineering staff.
  • Exposure to software interface technologies SAS, DNS, WinOMS, OMSVision, LabNext, ABS other software suites
  • Salesforce CRM knowledge

 Location:

  • Phoenix Corporate Office
  • Travel 15-25% to customer locations, Dental community events, or team-building celebrations
