nn Career Area: nn nnAccountingnn nn Job Description: nn nnThe Resource Industries Segment includes equipment and services supporting the mining, quarry & aggregates, and heavy construction industries.nn nnThis role is in the Sales, Services and Technology (RISST) Division of Resource Industries, which is the commercial facing division for Resource Industries a $7.9B (2020) -$10.3B (2019) segment for Caterpillar Inc.

The Sales, Services & Technology division supports the machine and aftermarket businesses for Resource Industries and includes multiple product lines supporting technology, safety, site solutions and asset health.nn nn Job Duties may include, but are not limited to: nn nnPrimary business partner and trusted adviser for RISST Division CFO, RISST Vice President, and VP Leadership Team including General Managers for Strategic Accounts, Global Sales, Marketing Center of Excellence, and Human Resources.nn nnDriving partnership with leadership team to gain appropriate alignment and understanding of key requirements / outcomes to drive positive profitable growth.nn nnResponsible for the RISST consolidated monthly reporting and closing activities including, but not limited to, business unit closing, financial results analysis to drive business insights, presentation of management results to leadership within the GM groups, to the VP and to GCFO and Group President.

Full understanding and ownership of P&L, Cash flow and Balance sheet, including marketing spend, SG&A, Accounts Receivable, Capital Spending and Inventory.

Ensure proper trade-offs and focus on Return On Investment are driven in accordance with maximum total outcome for the enterprise.nn nnStrategic thought partner to the business General Managers within RISST
– provide business insights and support for the Resource Industries Go-to-Market (Commercial) organizations, including cost analysis, regional sales analysis and support, proposal profitability analysis, and supporting the Mining Center of Excellence which includes Resource Industries Marketing group.nn nnLead and drive effective and strong coordination and collaboration with internal Caterpillar customers (Go-To-Market, Marketing, Product Groups, etc.) and external customers and data providers (Dealers, mining customers, etc.).nn nnEnsuring appropriate delivery and presentation of insights and value to commercial leaders as they run their businesses including the Vice President RISST.

High visibility role with presentations to VPs across Resource Industries and other segments.nn nnEffectively lead a diverse team, focused on proper talent development, succession planning, performance management and target setting.nn nn Basic Qualifications: nn nnBachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an Accounting or Finance related disciplinenn nn9-12 years of progressively responsible Accounting or Finance related experiencenn nn Top Candidates Will Also Have: nn nnMBA, Certified Accountant, or Master’s degree in a business-related fieldnn nnStrong background in accounting, cost accounting, commercial negotiations, and budget developmentnn nnCommunication and executive presence.nn nnStrong analytical skillsnn nnStrong people leadership and organizational capability buildingnn nnAbility to engage with and lead a team across multiple geographic locations nationally & internationally.nn nn Additional Information: nn nn This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.
